someone pointed me to the following as an option to try to get some help:
yes, i know things are tight for everyone, but have to try, right? (i also know i don't know nearly enough people to cover all that, but between people who do help and what we manage to come up with, just maybe we'll be saved?)
beyond that, we're going to a church tomorrow night to see about getting some food. linnorm has decided to help by giving us as much of his vacation pay next month as he can spare, which means he won't be able to see the kids this year, but we'll be able to either salvage a roof or find a new roof. i've written my letter to the landlords and am now waiting for kitten's money to include a payment with it.
we're doing what we can, all i can do is hope it all somehow comes together in time. in the meantime, i am fighting depression/avoidance tendencies by trying to get back to my novel revisions.
now, if the storm headache would go away, it wouldn't be a great day, but it would be a better one.
