let's not do that again. i'd say ever, but, unfortunately, you can't control the sick. it comes at its leisure and stays however long it deems it wants to. this particular sick pretty much wiped out my week. first there was the 3 days of sleeping and not eating. then the 2 or 3 days where even eating soup was an effort. not so much sleeping going on, but i still tire way too easily. i suspect work this week will be a little time on the comp, a lot of time back in bed. who knew just sitting at a computer could be so exhausting?
it doesn't help that this thing seems to go through phases. i'm finally able to eat, but now i have the hacking cough froggy's been fighting for 2 weeks. the cough actually disappeared for a couple of days for me, but now it's back. not bad, but persistent and annoying.
pretty much nothing done last week, for the most part. once i was awake and coherent enough, i did score editor tests for content positions at lilley, but that was pretty much it. once the novelty of sleeping wore off, but i was still too tired to be out of bed much, i actually did some reading. i'm working on the amber omnibus. i've played on the ps2 a lot. for the latter half of the week, i watched over sick kids and a sick husband, but generally without doing much. taz watched tv, froggy and saxy both pretty much stayed in bed. the hard part was getting up to feed anyone, and froggy seemed fine with making soup. i'd actually have to say she one really good soup maker. ;)
the phone never was disconnected. still don't get that, but whatevah (as the older girls would say).
this week, i'm trying to get back on track. i doubt much will happen in the exercise area, and, right now, i'm just counting as getting up with the alarm as an accomplishment. at least i can eat. and the kids are finally going back to school. and hub is going back to work. me, i'll do work, but i'm not going to push too hard. if i get tired, i'll crawl back into bed for a bit and read or work on my own writing stuff that doesn't need me at the comp. or nap.
the sick couldn't have come at a worst time for saxy. rent's coming up and there's no way we'll have the whole thing on the 1st. more catch up in the financial department. what else is new, right?
you know, as long as i get something more done other than sleeping this week, i think i'll be happy.
oh, and not catching it again now that the family is back on its collective feet would be good as well.
