kitten is coming! kitten is coming!

okay, so i mentioned that possibility before, but now it's official. the tickets are bought, the dates are set. i get to see my baby! and the kids will get to see their dad. as much as kitten coming out was an almost certainty, linnorm making it out was not so certain. tickets prices have been steadily going up, his own bank account needs its own infusion of cash, i needed some of next month's child support, and timing was an issue. but he got it all worked out so i get to see my baby and the kids get to see their daddy.

they'll be out a day later and leaving on the 31st - saxy's and my anniversary - but the 1st is booked up and leaving any earlier would be downright silly. it's not like saxy and i can actually do anything other than what we've done for safety reason for the last few years anyway - put the kids to bed early, have a nice dinner, watch a movie or two together, and celebrate by making love. and all of that can be pushed to a little later. since our anniversary is the only reason we celebrate anything on new year's eve, it works out.

tonight we go to mcat and family's for dinner (gotta start getting ready for that soon!). tomorrow, we're home with the kiddles. one of jewel's friends and her family picked up some gifts for the kids, so there will be some present opening after all (have i mentioned how this always seems to happen - we plan on not doing anything then we actually get a few gifts), and froggy made a few gifts. so we're not totally without some gift giving this year.

i don't know if we'll do the traditional christmas breakfast and hot cocoa thing we've done in the past - we're just a bit too broke and don't have the food supplies, so to speak. but anything can happen between now and then, it would seem, so we shall see. we definitely can't have our traditional christmas day dinner, but that's okay. one year without all the traditional trimmings is a pretty damn good record considering our financial situation for the last god knows how many years. we can wait till next year to do it all up right - a ral tree, presents, lights on the house and the whole nine yeards. we'll invite the family over for christmas day dinner, though i doubt they'll come (they tend to go to mjay's family's for christmas day). i'm really looking forward to it! i can wait a year, really.

especially since i got the bestest gift ever this year! my oldest is coming out to see us. it'll only be for 3 days, but my oldest is coming out to see us!

i am one very happy momma!
