so, with a long weekend finally over, i take the easy way out. i just didn't want you all to think i was dead. it was a nice weekend, nothing fantastic, but nice: we gamed on saturday (and my pc is in trouuuuble!), saxy and i spent sunday together in a way we haven't for a long time - hanging out and actually watching movies together, then went to see x2 for the second time (a waste as we had noisy, seat thumping kids beside and behind us).

so, in lieu of something truly interesting to tell, the following was snagged from maggi.

A - Act your age? not in this lifetime.

B - Born on what day of the week? uh, not a clue. 10/5/63. you figure it out.

C - Chore you hate? yes. (that means all of them or all of the above, depending on the question.)

D - Dad's name? real father: enrique; adoptive father: tim. neither of which really qualify as "dad" at this point.

E- Essential makeup item? i don't wear it much any more (why should i? i don't actually go anywhere these days), so, carmex.

F - Favorite actor? decisions, decisions. val kilmer, vin diesel, and brad pitt. oh, and tom cruise and sean connery. er, that was more than one, wasn't it?

G - Gold or silver? depends. silver in my hair, gold in against my skin. (really, i can make decisions, i swear!)

H - Hometown? i currently don't claim any. was born in puerto rico and have been moving ever since.

I - Instruments you play? flute, a long time ago. sold it to feed the kids.

J - Job title? starving artist, specifically, an unpublished author. working on that, really.

K - Kids? technically, 4 - 3 girls and 1 boy. 5 if you count the husband. 7 if you add in the cat and dog.

L - Living arrangements? 2-story townhouse in desperate need of tenting, but is cheap and has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths and the rent is income based. we'll live with it.

M - Mom's name? joanna.

N - Need... Aside from more sleep? a life? oh, wait, one of those would interfere with my writing. let's see . . . not much really. publication would be nice, getting into my mfa program would be nice too. and both would make me more employable . . . .

O - Overnight hospital stays? let's see, once when i was a kid (i remember being under a tent), twice for c-sections, and once for another operation. so 4 times? i think?

P - Phobia? severely: enclosed spaces, needles; mildly: unsupported heights.

R - Religious affiliation? born again christian, but haven't been to church in ages.

S - Siblings? a brother, matt, in georgia.

T - Time you wake up? if left to myself: 10:30 or later. if on a day i have to get a kid off to school: 7:30. either way, i am a firm believer that the world doesn't start turning before 10.

U - Unique talent? hmmm . . . i often make people laugh without even trying? especially when i'm being serious. and i don't get that.

V - Vegetable you refuse to eat? peas. unless heavily disguised. and okra. period.

W - Worst habit? forgetting to take my meds? not eating right? not exercising? forgetfulness? lack of tact? just pick one.

X - X-rays you've had? er, pinky finger when i broke it. i'm sure i've had others, but i'm drawing a blank. i do remember a number of sonograms though - and not all for pregnancies.

Y - Yummy food you make? 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies.

Z - Zodiac Sign? hurm. i don't particularly believe in all that astrology stuff, but i'm a libra. yay me.
